Though it would be enough to say, in one word, about this: WOW. I have to write a critique. Anime/Manga has always been my choice of work since i was in tenth grade, but I will keep this as extensive as possible, so that i can really speak my mind on the various aspects of this amazing color. PLEASE NOTE: I WILL BE TALKING AND EVALUATING THIS IN TERMS OF COLOR ALONE SINCE THE LINES ARE BY AAGITO.
Vision Ichigo. Thought and carefully drawn by Tite Kubo, Ichigo's vision has always been to showcase his feelings frame by frame, And you have certainly helped achieve it in your coloring. Dynamism in personality has been brought to life in your colors. Warmth eludes the picture significantly.
Originality We are talking about the coloring here, and its pretty much safe to assume taht everyone starts off by experimenting on a known style of coloring. I have seen, in my research, quite a lot of this type of coloring, so It may not be the most original. However, it clearly is in terms of employment of color. Not to forget Ichigo has a set color pallette, but you have eased your way around it nicely.
Technique: You have employed the usage of different color and framing techniques here. I will go on this a little detailed, please bear with me:
The lighting My, the usage of the key light and the rim light on his clothes is mind blowing. His hair especially stands out, as you have carefully colored it with regard to the existing three-point light source.
The color I'm talking about your selection of color theme here, and you've chosen a warm theme. It is a fair choice, as it draws the veiwer's attention onto the frame, as well as shows what Ichigo is feeling.
Misc. The technique for the background is also nice, I like the bokeh; its a nice touch. Only thing bothering me is that there should be rim light on the hair too... Some of the strands at the back might have to be made more bright.. But that's a matter of choice.
Impact Colors are always meant to make a certain impact on the viewer. You have really managed to do a wonderful job at the same, and I am grateful to have stumbled upon your artwork. In laymans terms, the only impact this might have on the viewer is that of awe.
Conclusive Notes To close, I would like to say that you are indeed talented as far as framing and lighting is concerned. The coloring is well done in MANY of your works, and i hope you continue learning and become a master at not only coloring but drawing as well. Cheers.
If you'd like more things to color, I can put you in touch with my sister: , she has a lot of art she'll be uploading in a month or two and it's all line art.
Die Farbgebung ist sehr schön! Ich liebe die Augen. Wussten Sie tun dies in Photoshop? Wie lange hat es gedauert? Ist es okay, wenn ich eine Kritik auf Englisch schreiben?
